MyTaskHelper – Example of database (Automobile sales center)

This is post one of a series “How to create a database in 5 minutes”.
Today I’d like to introduce example of MyTaskHelper database. In this post I will tell you about MyTaskHelper field types.
For example I decided to show “Automobile sales center” database. It possible to do in 5 minutes.
So let’s start.
Steps of creation:
1) Goto MyTaskHelper and login(to see а full image please click on it)

2) Create you first project – “Automobile sales center”
Create new project
3) Will appear the window, please enter the form name – “Automobile sales center”

4) Now you have the form and you can start to place into the form fields: in this example I tried to use maximum field types(String/Integer/Float or Single Line Text, Text or Multiple Lines, File/Image or File/Image/Video Upload, Boolean or Yes/No, Date/DateTime, Select or Drop Down, Checkboxes, Country). - First field “Brand” choose type Select or Drop Down.
Under filed you can see link “Set default value” . Click on it to enter your sell brands.

- Second field “Type”, select type Select or Drop Down.

- Next field “Model” – type Srting. In this field your can enter model of the car(only text symbols).

- Color, type Check box. In this field your can select one of few colors.

- Next field “Credit sale” – type boolean. It’s Logical type. User can select one of two logical values(Yes/No).

- If you need to upload more information about car you can use fields Image, File.

- To state the country where the car has been got from please use field type Country.

How to create simple database.

Steps of creation:
1) Login to MyTaskHelper
2) Create new project “First project”
3) Create new form “Registration form”
4) Now you can place into form fields: name, username, email, address, bio, photo, registration date, etc.
Your form should look like this:
5) Ok, so now we have form with fields. Good. Have a talk about validation. Under fields click on link “Set validation”. Appear new window with all validation types. Choose those needed. To all fields select presence, validate only on submit.
Presence – this option don’t allow for user leaves fields blank.
Validate only on submit – if you select this system feature will check all fields only after pressed “Create”.
For field “Username” also you can select Uniqueness, more about this option here , and for field Email select Email.
6) Enter you data. It should look like this
If you have done everything correctly you will see first record.

MyTaskHelper Validation (Inclusion, Exclusion)
Today I’d like to tell about new validation types: Inclusion, Exclusion.
Inclusion validation(for fields string, text) enables user strictly to define introduced text in the forms fields. User can indicate what exactly text must be carried in field record not allowing entering of other words/phrases. The option has three additional parameters (Partial match, Case sensitive, Allow null):
Partial match – using this parameter user allows to enter words or phrases, which contains record in field Within;
Case sensitive – possibility to include/disconnect register;
Allow null – user can leave the field empty;
Exclusion validation(for fields string, text) enables user strictly to define introduced text in the forms fields. User can indicate what exactly text can not be carried in field record, allowing entering of other words/phrases. The option has three additional parameters (Partial match, Case sensitive, Allow null):

Case sensitive – possibility to include/disconnect register;

Example of database creation: “Tow fields ”
Steps:
1) On “My Projects” page create new project “Tow fields ”
2) Create new form “Test”
3) Into the form place two fields: string type “one line”, text type “multiple line”
4) Under field click on link Set Validation, then in the window choose for field “one line” Inclusion, for field “multiple line” choose Exclusion.
For “one line” in field Within you can enter words/phrase, which must be included in the list! For “multiple line” in field Within you can enter words/phrase, which must not be included in the list!
5)Next step click “See Test in action” and enter you data
6) MyTaskHelper will check the data that you entered.
When you correct all mistakes click “Create”
Now you have first record:

2) On new form “Example form” add three fields “Name” – string type,”Email” – string type,”Comment” – text type
Under each field you can see link “Set Validation“
3) After you clicked “Set Validation” will appear the window with validation types. For field “Email” choose Email, for field “Comment” choose Length (Minimum 25 symbols)
4)Next step : click “See Validation in action”
5) Enter your data into the field
In Fields “Name” and “Comment” MyTaskHelper will check entered data.

During making the form in menu Form Builder under fields, which you have added there is reference Set Validation on form; click on it will appear the window, on which you may choose required for you validation type .
